6:00 AM – Departure from Your Lodge in Fort Portal

Your adventure begins early, as our guide picks you up from your lodge in Fort Portal at 6:00 AM. We embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, soaking in the serene morning landscapes of Uganda’s countryside. The crisp morning air and the promise of an exciting day ahead set the perfect tone for our journey.

7:00 AM – Arrival at Kibale National Park

Upon arrival at Kibale National Park, we head to the park headquarters for the necessary formalities. Here, we will either make payments for the permits or verify our pre-arranged permits, ensuring everything is in order for our chimpanzee tracking experience.

7:30 AM – Briefing by the Park Ranger

Before we venture into the forest, we receive a comprehensive briefing from an experienced park ranger. This session is crucial as it covers important information about the chimpanzees, the rules and regulations of the park, and safety guidelines to ensure a respectful and enjoyable encounter with these fascinating primates.

8:00 AM – Start of the Chimpanzee Tracking

Accompanied by our knowledgeable ranger guide, we set off on the chimpanzee tracking trails. Kibale National Park is home to a large population of chimpanzees, and our guide will help us navigate through the dense forest, pointing out various signs of chimpanzee activity along the way.

8:00 AM to 11:00 AM – Chimpanzee Encounter

12:30 PM – Arrival Back at Your Lodge

We arrive back at your lodge around midday, concluding our exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy your surroundings, filled with the memories of an unforgettable morning spent with some of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.
