Our 7days trek hiking via the central circuit trail to Margherita peak 5109m.
Its a hike of 120km with many mountains such as
Mount Stanley (5109m)
Mount Baker (4843m)
Mount Speke (4890m)
Mount Luigi di Savoia (4627)
Mount Gessi(4715m)
Mount Emin (4798m)
Mount Stanley is the tallest and Margherita is the highest peak . Why we use the central circuit is that the trail is short compared to other trails.

After breakfast meet the guides,poters, chef's, check all the hiking gears and all equipments .
Drive to the Uganda wildlife authority headquarters of Rwenzori mountains do the registration before starting the hike.
Cross mahoma tributary before starting along steep until reach Nyabitaba Hut 2651m.
Pass through grass land, Montana forest zone and Heather which is tropical rainforest here you be able to see the Portal peaks, monkeys, birds, chameleons up to Nyabitaba camp.
Time 5 -6 hours

To the forest to Kurt Shafer Bridge pass through bamboo .Traverse through a long and exhausting stretch of Slippery moss covered rock. Form Nyamulejju rocks shelter, Stanley and Speke can be seen .Reach John matte hut for dinner and night.
Hike 7 to 8hours
Height 854m
Bujuku river and enters lower bigo bog, home of giant lobelias, jumping from one tussock to another finally crossed . The upper Bigo bog gives a way to Bujuku lake with view of mt Baker to the south and Mt Stanley to the west..
Bujuku hut,located in the shadow of mt Baker and mt Speke.
Dinner and overnight at Bujuku hut. Hike 4 to 5hours
Height 457m
From Bujuku the trail will take through more bog while climbing the steep slopes west of the lake and forest ground .The trail leads to Scott-Elliot pass and down to Kitandara trail on left lead those who are not to climb Margherita peak to Kitandara hut. Have dinner and overnight at coolly and ice Elena hut. Hike 5 to 6hours
Height 579m
Very early morning climbing the highest peak, Margherita of mount Stanley.
To reach Margherita it takes 4 to 5 hours depending on the weather and the pace of the climber.
The tough walk Glaciers,Slippery rock, ice and very exposed areas which are open on many sides. Climbing on Glaciers, cross the Stanley plateau and proceed with ascent acclimatized to fog, altitude sickness and coolly weather, scramble up to the summit of Margherita the highest peak of Rwenzori mountains.
From Margherita back to Elena hut will take 2 to 3hours.
After lunch at Elena to the Scott-Elliot pass where is the view of Bujuku and Mount Speke.
After the trail passes you through an Alpine zone of sparse vegetation and rough boulders, ascend past Kitandara lake.
Dinner and overnight at Kitandara camp
Time 3 to 4 hours
Take on the trail that ascends steeply up the headwalls, spreading out of the base of the mountain baker and continuing along the south side of the mountain to fresh find pass 4282m at this point we can view into the Congo to the west and Mount Stanley to the north. From the pass take on the long high Alpine mossy.
Thereafter start the descend through steep rocky trails and the rock shelter at Bujongolo the base of historical expedation by Duke of Abruzzi in 1906 and have dinner and overnight at Guy Yeoman camp.
Hike 6 to 7 hours
Guy the rough descends beyond kichuchu the muddy path crosses the mubuku River twice through a bamboo forest before climbing downwards to Nyabitaba to complete the circuit.
Continue descending Nyabitaba camp and complete your hike by the evening to the gate park and end our 7 days Margherita peak trek. Descent duration 6 to 7 hours
Upon the arrival, you will be welcomed by the community with traditional dance celebrating for your success on conquering Rwenzori mountain that is the top most part of Uganda.
